Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu

The Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu was established in March 2015. Its jurisdiction is the entire area of the Visayas region in the Philippines.

The mission of the Consulate is to assist Korean people within its jurisdiction, deal with consular services such as visa issuance for Filipinos and strengthen the relationship between Korea and the Philippines.

The Philippines is a very special friend to Korea. During the Korean War in 1950’s, 7,420 Filipino soldiers went to Korea to protect the liberal democracy in the Korean peninsula. In 2013, Korean military contingent “Araw” came to the Philippines to help the recovery efforts of typhoon “Haiyan” disaster in Leyte.

Our two blood-tied allies have retained the mutual cooperation persistently on economic relations, cultural exchanges and especially on the tourism sector.

Our staff and I will do our best to provide the best consular services and to boost mutual exchanges between the Visayas region of the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Korea.
