1. Considering the attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Libya on April 12 that left two police officers killed and another wounded, and a high possibility of such direct attack on the Embassy and its staff, three personnel of the Embassy (two officials and one family member) were relocated to a temporary office in Tunisia on a flight via Amman, Jordan, at around 18:30, April 14 (Korea Standard Time).
2. The temporary office in Tunisia will continue to work to protect Korean nationals, while contacting remaining Koreans in Libya every day. The office will also continue to strongly recommend remaining Koreans leave the country.
3. In addition, the temporary office is continuously monitoring the progress in investigations into the recent attack on the ROK Embassy in Libya, as well as the situation in Libya. The office will resume its shift work system as soon as the situation in Tripoli improves.
